Trained SWAT volunteers will be spot-treating Japanese Knotweed in and around Lainshaw Woods during the second half of September. A mixture of herbicide spraying, leaf wiping and stem injection will be used. The herbicide used is non-toxic to humans and pets. However, we request that dog owners keep their pets on leads when spraying is in progress. Signs will be displayed to alert walkers to when the volunteers are actively spraying.
