Defibrillator Installed

In addition to its official charitable purposes, SWAT strives to maintain Lainshaw Woods and surrounding areas so that the wider community can benefit by having safe access for recreation and exercise.

Recently, as part of the East Ayrshire Council Community Defibrillator Initiative, SWAT obtained a 24/7 Public Access Defibrillator (PAD).

The PAD is located on the roadway-facing surface of the rear garden wall of No. 28 Montgomerie  Drive on the way to the Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) operated by Scottish Water.

SWAT would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Martin Boyle, Managing Director of local business, Solutions on Demand, for his support in covering installation (install and all electrical work courtesy of Mr Gavin Sim, Seamill Electrics) and ongoing power running costs for this life-saving initiative. Thanks also to Mr John Bourne (IT Director Solutions on Demand) for his donation towards maintenance and upkeep of the PAD.

As a registered charity, SWAT welcomes any donations either towards the ongoing maintenance of the PAD or towards supporting the general work of SWAT.
